About the eTrader licence in Dubai

The eTrader licence is a business licence from Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). It lets an individual legally sell products or services online from home, for example through social media, without renting a shop or an office.

Who it suits

Home-based businesses, social media sellers, creators and individuals offering services online who want to trade under an official licence.

How it works

  • It is issued to one person, not to a company with partners.
  • It is valid for one year and can be renewed.

Good to know

  • It is a mainland Dubai licence and does not come with a residence visa.
  • Who can apply depends on your nationality and residency status.

Terms and conditions

Please read these before you enter the giveaway.

  1. Organiser. This giveaway is run by First Chapter Consultancy LLC, which presents Harvest Season 5, hosted by the WGP Residence Community (Wasl Green Park).
  2. Who can enter. The giveaway is open only to residents of Wasl Green Park (WGP). You must give your genuine WGP address in the entry form, and we may ask you to confirm it.
  3. How to enter. Complete the entry form on this page with all the required details. Each person may enter once.
  4. Prize. The prize is one eTrader licence. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person. First Chapter will explain the prize details to the winner.
  5. Choosing the winner. One winner will be selected from the valid entries received.
  6. Announcement. The winner will be announced on 7 November at 6 PM at WGP Harvest Season 5. First Chapter will also contact the winner using the mobile number or email address given in the entry.
  7. Winner eligibility. The winner must be eligible to hold an eTrader licence under the rules that apply in Dubai. If the winner cannot meet them or cannot be reached, First Chapter may choose another winner from the valid entries.
  8. Your information. First Chapter will use the details you share to run the giveaway, select the winner and contact you. By entering you also agree that First Chapter may contact you about its services.
  9. Disqualification. Entries that are incomplete, contain false details, or come from people who do not live in WGP may be disqualified.
  10. General. The decision of First Chapter on all matters relating to the giveaway is final. First Chapter may update these terms before the winner is announced.
